Cupping Therapy in Zurich

Cupping therapy is a traditional healing method that has been practiced for centuries in many cultures. During cupping, special glass cups are placed on the skin and a gentle suction is created. This stimulates local blood circulation, loosens connective tissue, and supports metabolic processes.

Cupping is often used as a complementary treatment, for example for:

  • Muscle tension and back or neck pain

  • Restricted mobility and stiffness

  • Circulatory issues

  • Stress relief and general relaxation

When Cupping Should Be Avoided

Cupping is not recommended in the following cases:

  • Open wounds or skin conditions in the treatment area

  • Acute infections or inflammation

  • Blood clotting disorders or use of blood-thinning medication

  • Pregnancy (in certain areas)

  • Acute heart or circulatory conditions

Safety and Tolerance

Cupping is generally well tolerated. Mild skin redness or small bruises are normal reactions and usually disappear within a few days.
